Joel Ann Todd

Joel has participated in the design, facilitation, and documentation of charrettes for a variety of clients, including Federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and National Park Service, universities, and others.

Other activities include:

  • Co-author of the Handbook for Planning and Conducting Charrettes for High-Performance Projects
  • directed preparation of materials reports for the American Institute of Architects' Environmental Resource Guide
  • Vice Chair of the American Institute of Architects Technical and Scientific Advisory Committee
  • U.S. Team for the international Green Building Challenge

Joel has been involved in green buildings and sustainability issues for more than fifteen years. She worked on energy conservation projects in the 1970s and began her work on green buildings in 1989.
