John McFarland is the Director of Engineered Systems at WorkingBuildings, a total building commissioning and sustainable construction consulting firm. WorkingBuildings corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia was the first office space to achieve a Silver rating in Georgia under the LEED™ for Commercial Interiors pilot program. John has twelve years of experience in building and designing fields.

Other activities include:

• Member of the ASHRAE Standard 62 committee responsible for the ASHRAE Standard for Indoor Air Quality and a member of the Building Commissioning Association
• A frequent speaker on such topics as indoor air quality, ASHRAE Standard 62, LEED™ Rating System, and building commissioning
